About Us

Global Environment Research Foundation (GERF), Kalyani is an autonomous center for studies, training and research as well as consultancy in the areas of Ecology, Environment, Pollution Monitoring and Control, Natural Resources Conservation, Solid and Liquid Waste Management, Environment Audit, Environmental Education and Natural as well as International Conservation Strategies. Other activities of the Institute include Organization of Awareness Action Programmes, Multimedia Competition, Production of Instruction Materials, Documentation and Bibliography Preparation, Computer aided Design, and Implementation of Programmes having positive, social, education and cultural contents in order to ensure the optimum development of Global Sustainable Society. Recently GERF is associated in various NGO’s level work are developing the various audio – visual programmes on environmental protection.

GERF grow up the future citizens of Nation to build up their future confidently, under the kind observation of excellent and renowned educationist and industrialist of the respective faculty in order to achieve high level of the concerned subject.

GERF also involves continuously the Refresher Course on Biotechnology and Environmental protection for the teachers associated in schools in association with the Universities & various chambers of Commerce & Industries.

GERF is also the convenor N.G.O of Nadia District, under West Bengal Pollution Control Board, Govt. of West Bengal.

GERF has been appointed as the consent committee member at Regional Office, Kankinara, of West Bengal Pollution Control Board, Kolkata.

GERF is an affiliated center of West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education & Training, Govt. of West Bengal.

GERF mainly deals with the implementation of REGP (Rural Employment Generation Programme) in Micro levelbecause India lives in village and till now more than 70% of India’s population resides in village. There is a huge reserve of natural resources in the village and the people in the villages are always willing to use their talents in various fields that suit their needs. GERF network have started generation employments through peer motivational programmes and information exchange in the rural sector that there will be remote chances for migration from villages to cities. The employment opportunities will be balanced in both the cities and villages of the country.

GERF has taken up a time bound programme to maximize the REGP in, at least one SHG (Self Help Group) specially women Groups in every panchayat of remote Nadia District within the framework of TQM (Total Quality Management), IRP (Intellectual Property Rights).

GERF is recently involved in various research level work in association with the Universities and Industries.

Several Partnership Programme (PPP) have been submitted to National, International Govt. agencies for rural innovation programme by applying the Science & Technology transferring mechanism in rural sector for employment and Economic Growth.

GERF (Global Environment Research Foundation) also signed an agreement as facilitator for Disaster Management and Safety Security Management Training programme, sponsored by D.G.R., Govt. of India.

GERF also involved in Capacity Building Training Programme for skilled based initiative on production oriented like Food Processing, Mushroom Cultivation & Seed Production and Tissue Culture Laboratory other related issues.

GERF has recently started short film specially on scientific temperament development among the students.
